Activities and Programs

Visitors to the Kinark Outdoor Center will participate in a custom designed program. Group organizers will work with a program coordinator to identify the goals and objectives of the visit, to educate the KOC about the visiting group before arrival, and to select the best recreational activities for a fun and successful trip.

There a wide variety of activities and programs offered at the Kinark Otdoor Centre! These include: Climbing Wall (Indoor and Outdoor), High Ropes Course, Team building Initiatives, Hiking, Arts and Crafts, Low Ropes Initiatives, Group Development and Leadership Program, Sustainable Living Center Program, Navigation (Map and Compass and GPS), Group games, Field Sports, Outdoor Cooking, Curriculum linked activities (Wetland Studies, Beaver Habitat), Nature Hike, Shelter Building, Frisbee Golf, Survival, Archery, and Campfire programming.

Activity areas are all proximate to a permanent shelter for appropriate protection from sun and elements during introductory lessons or other planned down-time during an activity.

All activities are delivered in a fun and safe atmosphere and with specific consideration of the visiting group's goals and specific individual needs and abilities. Outdoor Educators are trained and certified in the delivery of skill progressions related to each activity.
